About Me
I have been painting in watercolour for over 40 years. I’m a member of numerous art societies, including the Cambridge Drawing Society and Suffolk Art Society.
My recent work has been inspired by Porters Lodge, near Bury St Edmunds, an amazing garden, perfect for spending a tranquil hour or two. This summer, my work is being exhibited there in June and I’ll also be running two workshops in July.
Artist in Residence
During June and July 2024, I’ve been invited to be the first Artist in Residence at Porters Lodge in Cavenham.
Largely inspired by this amazing garden, during weekends in June, I will be exhibiting in a new, purpose-built space within the grounds.
If you’ve not visited Porters Lodge before, it’ll be a great opportunity to see the gardens. They include well-stocked flower beds, many lovely water features, numerous pieces of interesting sculpture and a pond with multi-colour Koi. And of course, a tearoom offering a variety of cakes and refreshments.

INTRO TO PAPER COLLAGE
Tuesday, 2nd July, 10am until 3pm
Discover your artistic inspiration in my one-day, Watercolour for Beginners workshop. My approach to teaching watercolour is to show you how to use this medium with ease, demonstrating techniques that will allow you to produce work you’re proud of from the start.
Wednesday, 10th July, 10am until 3pm
Paper collage is a very absorbing and almost free hobby. For this workshop I will use entirely old magazines; weekend supplements are the best. With a few of these and pot of glue you can produce beautiful work whilst enjoying a relaxing process, giving you time away from the world.
